June 9-13: Camp Color Play
Suggested Ages:
Grades K-5
Time:
11am-1pm
What to Expect:
This camp is perfect for the messiest, little creators who show a special interest in experimenting with painting. During our time together, we will explore a variety of mark-making, tool-making and painting techniques used by abstract painters. Designed to encourage creative problem solving and build confidence in working through “mistakes,” we will spend the week creating a large scale mural on the building’s exterior using spray chalk, design our own abstract self-portraits and work daily on a large canvas painting you’ll treasure for years to come.
What to Bring:
Children are always encouraged to come dressed for mess but that’s ESPECIALLY so with this camp. Please consider sending them in play shoes, as well. Please pack a lunch and water bottle as we will take a lunch break to picnic together.
